We source, evaluate and present distinguished violins and bows for professional musicians and discerning collectors. Our work is built on close examination, trusted expertise and lasting relationships across the international string-instrument community.
Beyond the bow
Our interests also extend to Italian, French and German violins, violas and cellos, selected with the same attention to authorship, condition, character and provenance.
The collection is not presented as a fixed sales catalogue. Individual instruments and possible opportunities are discussed personally and discreetly upon request. If you are looking for a particular maker, school or period, we would be pleased to begin a conversation.

Experience & team
Rukin Fine Violins and Bows is led by Aleksandr Rukin and supported by a small, close-knit team of experienced professionals. Our work is centred on rare violins and bows, the formation of private collections and carefully managed international transactions. Our collective experience has been built through sustained study, direct examination of instruments and bows, and long-term engagement with the international string-instrument market.
Every instrument and bow is considered as an individual historical object. Authorship, condition, provenance, construction and playing character are examined together, with patience, discretion and without pressure. When a matter requires additional specialist knowledge, we also consult trusted independent experts and experienced restorers whose expertise is appropriate to the object.
We deeply value the knowledge, dedication and personal responsibility of every member of our team. Although our company is intentionally small, our close collaboration allows us to give each instrument, bow and client enquiry the individual attention it deserves.
Our wider professional relationships include specialists, musicians, collectors and colleagues across the international market. This combination of internal experience and trusted external knowledge enables us to approach every enquiry carefully, responsibly and with complete discretion.
